There comes a time when even the most ardent Christian re-affirms their commitment to the Most High. Which is what Vessel does on Love You Forever, his latest song.

The South Florida-based Jamaican shows his passion for the Lord in powerful lyrics like, ‘Through the storms, through the weather, anything we are together/In good weather, bad weather, whether all cheddar, no cheddar’.

Vessel points out that his relationship with Christ transcends witty lyrics.

“For me, God is everything in my life. Every single thing. How I think, how I act, thought process. My existence revolves around God, not only God, but Jesus because that’s a more intimate relationship,” he said. “This song was just to express the love of God.”

Released in late June, Love You Forever is produced by Craig McDonald. It has an “Afrobeats kinda style” with a message, though profound, is aimed at everyone, from the grandparents to the grandchildren.

“The rhymes and words are more simple where even the baby can understand the love of God. It’s a basic song where people can understand how much God loves them,” said Vessel.

Love You Forever is the follow-up to Truly Bless and Doing it Big, which were also produced by McDonald. Those songs were recorded to EDM-type beats.

Vessel migrated with his family from Jamaica to Florida in the 1990s. While gospel music is his sound of choice, he is a big fan of pop music from that decade, pointing to Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G., Beenie Man and Bounty Killer among his influences.

He has released two albums to date — Christwalker and His Steps.
