The Bunny Wailer Estate has received the green light by the Supreme Court of Jamaica to finally initiate the process of administration of the late reggae Icon’s assets.

Over the past three years, the family has been in court over the administration of the estate nonetheless the ruling, which was handed down on June 28, 2024, was in favour of Bunny’s 13 children who were recognized as the only beneficiaries of the estate. The judge also instituted Wailer’s eldest son, Abijah Asadenaki Livingston as the estate’s authorized representative.

As the estate is guided through the administration process Naki, as he is affectionately known in a release stated that the family is appreciative of the ruling and remains focused on the estate’s restoration, reproduction of their father’s catalogue, and the revamping of his record label; Solomonic Productions Limited.

In concluding, Naki said the family remains focused on the preservation and promotion of Jah B’s iconic legacy. Neville O’Riley Livingston more popularly known as Bunny Wailer died on March 2, 2021. Back in 2018 IRIE FM honored Bunny Wailer with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
