Clive Hunt & George Nooks

Legendary reggae producer Clive Hunt is once again making waves with the release of the new single Drifting Away featuring the soulful voice of icon George Nooks.

Produced under Hunt’s label Iconic Azul, and distributed by California-based Ineffable Records, this uplifting track is now streaming on all major platforms worldwide.

Known for his work in shaping reggae’s sound, Hunt brings decades of experience to the project, collaborating closely with Nooks to create a single that deeply resonates.

Drifting Away is one of the songs on the Nyabinghi Rhythm, a deeply spiritual sound rooted in Rastafarian tradition.

Hunt explains: “I’ve known George since the 1970s, back when he performed as Prince Mohammed, and I knew this collaboration would be special. George has a way of channeling emotions into his music, and I’m confident that this track will connect with listeners on a deep level.”

The song’s lyrics were crafted by a talented group, including Nooks, Rami Coleman, Kofi Hunt, and Chaka Scott, weaving together experiences and struggles that many face daily.

“Clive is an excellent musician and arranger. He has worked on projects pertaining to my songs, but this is the first one-on-one collaboration with him, and I can’t tell you how special that is. This song is truly motivational. It’s not just something to tap your feet to; you really have to listen to the words to get the real message. We’ve all faced some realities reflected in the song, and the message is clear, you have to read your Bible more,” shared the singer.

The collaboration between Hunt and Nooks represents a merging of talents creating a song that is not only deeply moving but also a testament to the longevity and evolution of reggae music.

Drifting Away is now available on all streaming platforms.
