No.1

Survivor, the second album from singer Novel-T, is number one on the South Florida Reggae Album Chart. It was released in August by P&N Publishing and contains several songs that did well in that region.

The Florida-based Novel-T, who is from August Town, spent considerable time on the project which was released eight years after Born to Love You, her first album.

“We put a lot of work into Survivor; great teamwork and collaborations. Kudos to my producers Howard Perry of P&N Publishing and Hopeton Lindo of Irie Pen Records. I would also like to thank everyone who contributed to the making of the album and those who are supporting it now,” she said.

Perry, Novel-T’s husband, is a principal of P&N Publishing, who also played trumpet on Survivor and produced her cover of Bob Marley’s Satisfy my Soul. Lindo has collaborated with her as an artiste, songwriter and producer in the past five years.

Six of Survivor’s 11 songs topped the South Florida Reggae Chart. They include Tough Like A DiamondTwo Makes One and a cover of The Emotions’ So I Can Love You.

Novel-T describes achieving a number one album as “a gratifying feeling”, adding: “Knowing that teamwork, patience, creativity and trust in the Almighty, is the right formula.”
