Jossette Barker, the 6th of seven children to
parents Selvin and Hyacinth Kennedy, was
born April 22, 1972, in Sligoville, St
Catherine, Jamaica WI.
She is a great lover of music, but has a
passion for Country and western music. Her teen years were
memorable listening to her favorite artists like Dolly Parton,
Randy Travis, Shirley Caesar and The Spencers, just to name a
few.
She loved singing and dreamt of becoming an international
recording artiste but her shyness kept her singing mostly in the
shower.
Growing up in church, Jossette would occasionally sing and conduct group song service, a favorite of hers to whom her friends compared her voice quality to the lead singer of the
then Grace Thrillers Shirley Willis.
Her gift of writing songs has caused her to actually develop a large catalogue with songs for different moods and attitudes.
Futile efforts of finding someone singing her songs suddenly shifted when she recall the idiom “Fortune Favors the Bold.”
