Call To Balance, Kēvens second album was released on October 11 by KTF Music. It has eight songs, all produced by the Florida-based singer.

We Are One, his first album, came out in 2010. Reared in Miami, Kēvens is regarded as one of Electronic Dance Music’s (EDM) pioneers, blending Jamaican dub, dancehall and reggae with hip hop and trap.

“Call To Balance is simply my musical evolution, both as an artist and as a human being. The sound is an amalgamation of drum and bass jungle with a deep reggae presence. It’s my own particular musical recipe and I call it ReggaeEDM,” he said.

The album contains previously released songs like Sonadores Legales (the Spanish version of Legal Dreamers) and Sweet Lady Liberty.

Released in early 2023, Legal Dreamers takes a jab at United States officials’ treatment of undocumented immigrants, especially at the country’s Southern Border. It marked Kēvens’ return to the music business after a three-year break due to Covid-19.

“During that difficult period, in which I almost lost a loved one and felt the stalking of loneliness, I questioned my abilities and purpose as an artist, but found my strength and reason to live in the midst of a melting pot of doubts and emotions. Through this grueling process, I was inspired, produced an album that seeks to harmonize chaos and invites us to reflect and reconnect with ourselves,” he reasoned.

Of Guadeloupean, French-Canadian and Haitian heritage, Kēvens has lived in the US since he was nine years-old.
