International dancehall group Tribe of Kings, more popularly known as T.O.K, has kicked off its 2025 tour.
The group — which is celebrating the 20th anniversary since the release of the Unknown Language album — began the tour on the weekend in Andermatt, Switzerland, at High Peak Festival, one of the major hip hop festivals in the country.
Besides T.O.K, some of the musical greats on this year’s line-up for High Peak Festival are Morgan Heritage, Busta Rhymes, Eve, and Timbaland.
Meanwhile, Craigy T noted that T.O.K is deliberate in preparing for each tour to yield momentous impact, despite how rigorous the process might be.
“Tour preparation for T.O.K is a painstaking process. Remember all of us are accomplished professionals in our respective individual fields… Just scheduling a meeting takes hours, sometimes days, but we get it done,” he said.
Fellow T.O.K member Alistaire “Alex” McCalla is anticipating another memorable tour, which he sees as an opportunity to connect with global supporters.
“This tour is extra special because it’s about once again reconnecting with our fans, aka our extended family. It’s showcasing that, through thick and thin, we are still here. It’s the anniversary of the release of undoubtedly one of our biggest hits, and we’ve been through so much since, but we’re still here. My hope is that you continue along this journey with us as we commemorate this milestone and push along with so much more,” Alex told the Observer.
The other half of the quartet include Roshaun “Bay-C” Clarke and Xavier “Flexx” Davidson.
Craigy T is pleased that the group has been making waves globally, even two decades after the release of the Unknown Language album.
“I think this tour is special because it marks 20 years since we released the Unknown Language album. Remember back then we were just youths chasing a dream. To see that dream fulfilled and solidified in reggae and dancehall history is humbling and exalting at the same time,” he shared.
The group is known for hits such as Footprints, Hey Ladies, Solid As A Rock, and She’s Hotter.
