ORGANIZERS OF REGGAE SUMFEST 2014 ARE PLEASED WITH ITS SUCCESSFUL STAGING!

By Cecelia Campbell-Livingston— Godfrey Dyer—- GODFREY Dyer, chairman of Summerfest Productions — organisers of Reggae Sumfest — is pleased with the staging of this year’s week-long event. The chairman said while the final figures have not yet come in, things looked good from his vantage point. “I honestly don’t have the numbers yet. I won’t get it for another couple days,” he said. “But everything went according to plan. Personally, I am happy with how it came off, patrons were able to leave before the sun came up. We had to bear in mind that some patrons walked to the venue, so we didn’t want to dismiss too early.” Last year, organisers were contemplating shifting the festival to June as they were encountering challenges with artists booked for summer overseas gigs. SUPER BEAGLE RETURNS TO JAMAICA TO RECORD NEW ALBUM!

Super Beagle— Reggae artist Super Beagle is gearing up to release a new album, as he hopes to build on his renewed popularity after being sampled by Grammy Award-winning rapper Kanye West for his multi-platinum selling single, Mercy. Kanye West borrowed the intro from Super Beagle’s single, Dust A Sound Boy, which is regarded locally as one of the strongest sound clash singles of all time.   Jack Radics   Jack Radics wowed the audience at th 48th Annual Montreux Jazz Festival last night.( July 18, 2014). His 60 minute action packed performance of non- stop hits including “Tic Toc”, the monster hit ,  “Twist & Shout”, “ Moving Away” as well as his most recent chart toping release “ Way 2 Long” had the audience mesmerized.
