REGGAE LABEL “BLOOD AND FIRE RECORDS” RELAUNCHES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VP RECORDS!

By Evan Minsker— Blood and Fire Records was a reggae and dub record label founded in Manchester, England in 1994. They reissued roots reggae classics by King Tubby, the Congos, and many, many others. In recent years, the label has been inactive, but today, they’ve announced their relaunch in partnership with VP Records. Their first release this year will be a limited 12″ of Gregory Isaacs’ 1978 track “Mr. Know It All”, which is out on Record Store Day (April 19). That’s the sleeve above. According to a press release, Blood and Fire will re-release between 10 and 12 of its collections this year with additional content and new packaging. They’ll also launch a merch line. (CMC): The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre is reporting that a 6.5-magnitude earthquake northeast of Barbados caused shaking across the Eastern Caribbean early this morning. There were no reports of damage or injuries, although authorities in Martinique were recommending extreme caution in coastal areas.
