BOUNTY KILLER SLAMS PROMOTERS OF REGGAE SUMFEST OVER CHANGES!

Scores of artists, some of whom are booked for the July 22-23 festival, were called upon to share their thoughts on the event, now headed by Downsound Records’ Josef Bogdanovich. DESPITE SEVERAL MEDIA REPORTS, THERE IS NO OFFICIAL POLICE REPORT OF BOUNTY KILLER’S ALLEGED ROBBERY!

 Bounty Killer— DESPITE media reports that veteran dancehall deejay Bounty Killer was robbed of $500,000 in cash and kind last Friday, the police said they are yet to receive reports of such an incident. According to several media reports the incident took place off the Waltham Park Road area in Kingston. However, when the Jamaica Observer checked with the Hunts Bay Police Station, under whose purview the incident would have fallen, the officer in charge of the station Superintendent Arthur Brown said he had no report of such an incident. “I have no knowledge of any such incident. Nothing of the sort has been reported, come to our attention. DANCEHALL SUPERSTAR BOUNTY KILLER, REPORTEDLY ROBBED AT GUNPOINT!

The word on the street is that the poor people governor was robbed of cash and jewelry. Other entertainers like LA Lewis came out in strong support of the killer warning the robbers to return the Bounty Killer’s possession. BOUNTY KILLER BLASTS BILLBOARD MAGAZINE, THE JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT AND THE MARLEY BOYS!

 NEVER one to shy away from controversy, Bounty Killer has hit out against Billboard Magazine for naming British singer Joss Stone Reggae Artist of The Year. ACCUSATIONS: ARTISTS OVERCHARGING PROMOTERS, WHILE PROMOTERS CHARGING UPCOMING ARTISTS TO BE ON SHOWS!

By Shereita Grizzle—   Supreme Promotions CEO Isaiah Laing— Following a recent story published in THE STAR regarding artists overcharging promoters for appearances on stage shows, several up-and-coming entertainers have been reaching out to The Sunday Gleaner, claiming that the pricing issue goes both ways. The article published in THE STAR last Wednesday has generated some amount of unease among entertainers, who believe the story was one-sided. Since the article was published, The Sunday Gleaner has received a number of calls from entertainers who say that the story painted artists in a bad light. While agreeing that artists who overcharge promoters for appearances on shows are hurting the music industry, the entertainers revealed that they, too, have been charged to appear on big-name shows.
