  Conscious reggae singer, Fabian Marley, is heading to France this week to officially kick off the European leg of an exciting promotional campaign for his new single, Nah Say We Poor, on the Massive Entertainment Group label. NEW YORK-BASED ST. KITTS LABEL LAUNCHES FABIAN MARLEY’S LATEST SINGLE “NAW GO SAY ME POOR!”

New York Based St.Kitts Label MASSIVE Entertainment Group has launched the massive hit “Naw Go Say Me Poor” by Fabian Marley the eldest son of Reggae Legend Bob Marley.                         Massive Entertainment Group is owned by Kittitian Clayton “Massive”  Thomas who  heard some of Marley’s songs in late 2014 through a mutual friend in New York. Once he decided to forge a professional relationship with him, Thomas sought legendary reggae producer Clive Hunt to produce Marley’s recording under the Massive Entertainment Group Label. SECURITY GUARD ASSAULTS BUNNY WAILER AT THE BOB MARLEY MUSEUM IN KINGSTON!

 By Vernon Davidson—- WAILER… this guy was actually chucking me out—- REGGAE icon Bunny Wailer said he was yesterday assaulted by a security guard and told to leave the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, a property that the only living member of the world-famous Wailers said he normally accesses without hassle. Wailer, known to many people as Jah B, went to the museum with England-based attorney Simon Vumbaca, who has been retained by the Rastafari Millennium Council on a matter relating to the indigenous rights of Rastafarians. “I never expected anything like that because I just visited the place with the brethren. He wanted to go. He paid the fee. I was just there with him,” Wailer told the Jamaica Observer. TODAY (SEPT 11) MARKS THE 28th ANNIVERSARY OF THE PASSING OF PETER TOSH!

 Peter Tosh– TODAY marks the 28th year since reggae’s most famous rebel, Peter Tosh, was brutally murdered at his upper St Andrew home. The incident occured on Friday, September 11, 1987. Interestingly, it happened like this year, on the day the Rastafari community to which he was firmly committed celebrates the Ethiopian New Year. “As one of reggae’s chief standard bearers for over two decades, Peter Tosh developed a reputation as the ultimate rebel of an indigenous Third World music form that has gained widespread international acceptance,” wrote the late journalist Fitzroy Nation for the now defunct St Catherine Reporter. Nation stated that on that fateful night, almost three decades ago, the 43-year-old Tosh became the latest victim in a seemingly unending cycle of violence.  Tuff Gang— THE Tuff Gang, a group led by Asadenaki Wailer, launched its Groundation EP last Friday at the Kingston home of reggae legend Bunny Wailer, Asadenaki’s father. According to Asadenaki, Tuff Gang’s singer/percussionist, Groundation is their biggest statement since forming three years ago. “It is a great accomplishment for me personally, and for us as a collective. PATRICIA CHIN OF VP RECORDS GETS A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD!

 Pat Chin (second left) Patricia ‘Miss Pat’ Chin, widow of Vincent Chin and co-founder of VP Records, received the Lifetime Achievement Award Thursday night at the Libera Awards in New York. Chin is the first female recipient of the award, presented by the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM). HIGH HOPES AFTER THE GLOBAL GANJA MOTORCADE!

   Maxine Stowe and Bunny Wailer—- THREE-TIME Grammy winner Bunny Wailer, singer Denroy Morgan and members of the Mystic Revealers band were among the artists who participated in Saturday’s Global Ganja Motorcade/March. The 74-kilometre trek from Emancipation Square in Spanish Town, St Catherine to Goodyear Oval in Morant Bay, St Thomas was reminiscent of the 1865 march of Jamaica’s National Hero Paul Bogle. “The motorcade was well supported with 40 to 50 vehicles,” Maxine Stowe, music insider and ganja legalisation advocate, told the Jamaica Observer. The Global Ganja Motorcade/March is Wailer’s latest attempt to shed light on recent changes in Jamaican law regarding the use and production of marijuana.
