The board comprises: Lenford Salmon, chairman; Gussie Clarke, deputy chairman; Councillor Duane Smith; Kingsley Cooper; Clifton “Specialists” Dillon; Dr Carlene Davis-Cowan; Dr Sonjah Stanley-Niah; Paula Surtees; Bunny Brown; Howard McIntosh; Herbie Miller; Clyde McKenzie; Michael “Ibo” Cooper; Joseph Bogdanovich; Karen Smith; Jacqueline Knight-Campbell; Shelly-Ann Curran; and Kamal Bankay. THE TRENCH TOWN CULTURE YARD GETS JAMAICA TOURIST BOARD LICENCE TO OPERATE!

 Culture and Entertainment Minister, Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange, has endorsed the new focus taken by organizers of Reggae Sumfest to put on show the best of Jamaica’s roots, rock and reggae artists, under the theme, ‘Our Music, Our Festival’. In a statement delivered at the 2016 Reggae Sumfest Sponsors’ Forum, last evening, Minister Grange said, “I am elated at the new direction that Sumfest 2016 has taken. It is a welcome change. TWO KILLED AT JLP RALLY IN MONTEGO BAY!

ST JAMES, Jamaica – Opposition spokeswoman on Information Olivia “Babsy” Grange says that the police has confirmed that two people were killed during the shooting which prematurely ended tonight’s Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) mass rally in Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay, St James. The two were understood to be among at least four people shot during the incident. However, there was no information as to what caused the shooting and whether those who were shot were part of the rally or invaders.
