VINCENT and Patricia Chin had been involved in the music business for almost 20 years when they migrated to New York City in the late 1970s. BUNJI GARLIN LEADS A NEW SOCA CHARGE!
Bunji Garlin— By Shereita Grizzle—- Many consider him the man leading the soca revival across the globe, and a recent record deal may be what he needs to successfully cross over into the international market. When The Gleaner caught up with Bunji Garlin a week ago Saturday at the Best of the Best concert in Miami, the soca viking revealed that he had just signed an exclusive deal with RCA and VP records. It will also feature a collaboration with reggae veteran Beres Hammond.
