According to organiser George Crooks, part proceeds from the show will benefit the AFUWI, a non-profit organisation that assists students at the University of the West Indies’ Mona campus.

Ann-Marie Grant, executive director of the AFUWI, welcomed the gesture.

“Their decision to donate part of the proceeds towards the scholarship programme for students who cannot afford college and the education of the young and under-served is an incredible legacy that will benefit so many. On behalf of the students who will benefit, I would like to say we are truly grateful,” Grant said.

The concert will also feature Shaggy, Maxi Priest and former UB40 lead singer Ali Campbell.
