Horace Samuels (deejay Dignitary Stylish) is still keeping it real when it comes on to music.Stylish, who scored big in 1986 with the song Jah Send Mi Come is working on his first album, Reincarnation Dignitary.

“Some may be wondering if I have still got it, but I definitely do and my album will be the proof,” he told the Sunday Observer.

The self-produced Reincarnation Dignitary will be released on his Home Grown Music label and is a mix of dancehall and lovers rock.

He has already released a single off the album titled Reload and recently remixed Jah Send Mi Come with Silk of Rough Ryder fame.

“It’s all about staying current and making inroads in other markets,” said Dignitary Stylish said.

Although he has not graced the Jamaican stage in some time, Dignitary Stylish has been performing in Europe with singers Don Carlos and Admiral Tibet.

He started out in 1975 on the Portmore sound system Rock Horn before working with other ‘sounds’ like Ace’s, Black Scorpio and Killamanjaro. His first recording was Pon De Attack in 1985.

The following year, he hit with Jah Send Mi Come which was followed by Don’t Touch The Crack and Jah A Di Bigger Boss.

These days, Dignitary Stylish operates a seafood restaurant in Kingston and works actively with charity organisations.
