THE FATHER/MANAGER OF DANCEHALL ARTIST QQ, TO BE TRIED FOR REPORTED ASSAULT OF HIS GIRLFRIEND!

KINGSTON, Jamaica —

The father and manager of dancehall act QQ is to be tried in December on allegations that he assaulted his girlfriend at a service station.

The December 1 trial date was set today when Joseph ‘GQ’ Dawkins appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court Monday.

Dawkins pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The accused and the complainant had an altercation at a Total service station along Constant Spring Road, when he reportedly held her by the throat, hit her in the face, head, stomach and bit her on the left arm.

The matter was reported to the police and Dawkins charged.

On Monday, Dawkins was ordered to give his fingerprint to the police.
