AFTER a three-year hiatus, dancehall artist Future Fambo said he is currently working on his debut album called Evolve.
Produced by Atlanta-based recording label Blaze Entertainment, the 15-track set is expected to be released in April. The album will feature tracks including One More time, Wine for Me and The Blurtnaat Song.
“Perfection takes time, so I have placed a lot of energy and time in it. It shows off a more mature side of me and features a lot of up-tempo music. I really hope that it will resonate well with the fans,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Fambo said one of his favorites from the set is One More Time.
“It is really inspirational. It’s a song that encourages persons not to give up and to try one more time,” he said.
Formerly Future Troubles, Fambo (now in his early 40s) began his career in the early 1990s. He scored with hits including China Mi Live and the chart-topper Kung Fu. After a name-change several years later, he released party songs like Rum and Red Bull with Beenie Man, This Life, and Drunken Dance, which were well received.
In 2011, Fambo (whose given name is Warren Williams) then took a break from the spotlight. He said he spent that time with his family while working on the album.
