Sumfest International Night II will not be the same for one lucky fan who will get the chance to share the spotlight with superstar Jennifer Hudson on Saturday.
Digicel, through its ‘MEGA Sumfest Experience’ social media competition, has invited fans to qualify for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by submitting a video of their best J-Hud rendition.
The top five videos will be uploaded to Instagram and the owner of the video receiving the most likes will win an all-expense paid trip to Sumfest and a chance to join the ‘Think Like a Man’ singer on stage.
“We want to give our customers a mega summer experience at Sumfest,” said Kamal Powell, senior sponsorship manager at Digicel.
“We have one of the largest social media families (in) Jamaica, with a combined total of over 800,000 fans. Being able to give a fan this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is just the kind of thing that we enjoy doing. We know Jamaicans are very talented and creative and we can’t wait to see the entries that will come in for this competition.”
Sumfest, now in its 23rd year, is themed ‘Summer Blockbuster’.
The three-day festival, which is touted as the ‘Greatest Reggae Show on Earth’ will feature performances from a number of top international acts including Common and Yazz the Greatest, as well as local stars like Lady Saw, I-Octane, Beenie Man, and Ding Dong.
