ANOTHER CARIBBEAN ACT (R. CITY) LANDS IN BILLBOARD’S TOP TEN!

Locked Away by sibling duo R City and singer Adam Levine from Maroon 5 is currently number eight on the publication’s main board. R City comprises Timothy and Theron Thomas who are from St Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. They relocated to the United States 10 years ago and currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. Locked Away is currently on several European charts, and those of Australia and New Zealand. R City have written a number of hit songs, including We Can’t Stop by Miley Cyrus, Pour it Up by Rihanna, Replay by fellow Virgin Islander Iyaz, When I Grow Up by the Pussy Cat Dolls, and If This Isn’t Love by Jennifer Hudson. REGGAE SUMFEST 2015 DECLARED A SUCCESS!

However, they are keeping them under wraps for the time being. Robert Russell, chairman of Summerfest Productions, mentioned that in reviewing the past week of events which culminated early Sunday morning, they will have to do things somewhat differently in the future, but declined to elaborate. The fans who came out to see the award-winning singer/actress, screamed, cheered and clapped as she belted out songs such as ‘Whatever Makes You Happy’, Pocketbook, Bring Back the Music, Where You At, Gone, No One Gonna Love You, ‘Remember the Music’ and more. A major highlight of her act was her performance of ‘Spotlight’, during which she was joined by Jamaica’s Allison Roberts.
