COLLIE Buddz has released an eight-track EP titled Blue Dreamz which debuts at number three on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart.

Blue Dreamz gives the New Orleans-born, Bermuda-raised deejay his second entry on the Billboard table. His 2007 self-titled debut album, which sold 10,000 copies in its opening week, went number one.

Collie Budz also peaked at number 68 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart and number 15 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart.

Formerly signed to Sony Music, Collie Buddz is known for hits including Come Around, Mamacita, and Tomorrow’s Another Day. Born Colin Harper, his mother is from Bermuda. After the death of his father, while still a child, the family relocated to Bermuda

He was introduced to reggae by his older brother Matthew.

“Back then, I just used to plug headphones into the microphone jack of a tape deck. I’d sing into one of the earpieces and record it on cassette,” Buddz recalled.

Recently, Collie Buddz has opened for American acts Matisyahu and Rebelution. He recently started his record label, Harper Digital, and launched a radio station in Bermuda called Vibe 103.
