Kafinal—

ENTERTAINER Kafinal recently won Singer of the Year at the Peabo Awards in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

It capped an outstanding year for Kafinal who is also an actor and comedian. He received the Trailer Blazer, Song of The Year and Top Male Performer awards last summer.

He received the Trailblazer Award during the 25th annual Jamaica Day Festival in Toronto. The awards for Top Performer and Song of The Year (for Nah Complain featuring U-Roy) were presented by Uprising Music and Entertainment Productions.

“2015 was an excellent year for me musically. It was a year filled with progress and amazing highlights,” he said. “Winning awards give a great feeling as it shows that the hard work that I put out is being recognised. The love and support from the fans are the best awards a performer can get. So I am thankful for it all.”

 Kafinal, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, started his career as a member of the duo, Kafinal and Sambo. They scored a hit in 2005 with Cooking Dat Pwile, a humorous take on singer Blu Cantrell’s Hit Em Up Style.

His latest song is Nuh Lock Off Di Dance, produced by Paul ‘Computer Paul’ Henton. It is number five on the Rebelvibez Canadian Reggae Chart and number 19 on the Foundation Network Chart in New York.
