REGGAE singer Chuck Fenda is pleased with the response to his sixth studio album Concrete Jungle.
“The album is doing pretty well. This is its third week of release and the distributors have said that sales are steady. I plan to push the promotion more by shooting a video for Sticky Situation, the combination song I have with Sasha, because of the initial response from the public, disc jockeys and industry people,” said Chuck Fenda.
Produced on the Voiceful Records label, the 13-track Concrete Jungle was released digitally last month by Zojak World Wide. The singer said his latest project is his most complete work to date.
“We just want to reach the people on a spiritual level with this album. That’s why it is called Concrete Jungle to reflect the struggles of the inner-city. The album is stylistically different from my others in that it uses elements of lovers’ rock, R&B, and even dancehall,” he said.
“I have seen a phenomenal response to Sticky Situation because of the controversial nature of the song: a Christian girl falling in love with a Rastaman and inviting him to church, and him inviting her to Bobo Hill. The real story is that of unconditional love between two people regardless of religious beliefs,” Chuck Fenda added.
Chuck Fenda (given name Leshorn Whitehead) is known for songs including Gash Dem, Coming Over, and Gwaan Plant. His previous album was Jah Element in 2013.
