Carlene Davis offers a new single in addition to her Christmas repertoire with the song ‘This Is Christmas’, a solid reggae rock which opens with a classic R & B sounding introduction.

With a few weeks to go to Christmas the John Lennon/Yoko Ono written song comes out of the passion of the late Lennon speaking out against war and prejudice whilst encouraging the act of generosity.

‘So this is Christmas what have you done’ … ‘another year’s over, a new one just begun’ … ‘And so happy Christmas for black and for white’…  ‘For yellow and red ones the war is so long’.

Davis has numerous Christmas recordings to include albums ‘Christmas Reggae Rock’ and ‘Christmas Everyday’, and her songs are included on a variety of Christmas collections.

Noted songs of Carlene include ‘Put Christ Back Into Christmas’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘Give Love On Christmas Day’, Auld Lang Syne’, ‘Bright Christmas Medley’, ‘Send The Soldiers Home’, ‘Fi Mi Jesus’.  Her most re-known Christmas song is ‘Santa Claus do You Ever Come To The Ghetto’ which has spanned some 20 years as the #1 Christmas song in the Caribbean.

Carlene’s ‘This Is Christmas’ a Glory Music production and is available on VP Records VPal online digital music distribution platform for downloads.  She will also, along with Kevin Downswell appear at this year’s ‘Christmas Joy In The Bass’, a presentation in the old Ambassador Theatre on Tuesday, December 20th, in Trench Town.
