 Carlene Davis A SERIES of frightening attacks against Jamaican women in 2016 resulted in 24 deaths. The trend influenced Tommy Cowan to write Jamaica Belongs To Jesus, a song recorded by his wife Carlene Davis. Cowan also produced the single, which was recently released by Glory Music. Davis described the spate of assaults against women and children as “spiritual warfare”. “It’s not only the women that’s being abused but young children, the elderly, and there are cases where women are also abusing the males, and children,” she added. “When people grieve, I grieve.
