Sibling producers Ansel and Norman Owen called on an all-star cast for their ‘Sweet Lyfe’ compilation album which was released in October by their Crown International label.

The company operates out of Fort Lauderdale and their hometown of Spanish Town. The Sweet Lyfe is its second production.

The beat features top artists like Sizzla, Gyptian and Half Pint.

Sizzla’s song is Beautiful Sunshine, while Gyptian does The Bottle. Let Them Talk is Half Pint’s song.

Singer Norville Sal, a Spanish Town-reared singer based in South Florida, is also on the 15-song album with Jah For A Day. Half Pint’s “Let Them Talk” has already found its way at No.21 on the South Florida Singles Chart, while the album sits at No. 11 on the album chart.

“That was an introductory rhythm, just to get our feet through the door,” said Ansel.

The Owens were raised in Central Village, a working-class community in the heart of Spanish Town. Weaned on the area’s strong sound system culture, they were strongly influenced by the productions of Dave Kelly and Steely and Clevie.
