SHAUNA Chyn is aiming to reach a wider audience with the remake of her raunchy single Control Button .
“I did the clean version when I realised that the song was a hit overseas. That meant going back into the mix and making a broadcast-friendly version that could get airplay on any station. So it was about marketability and access; I needed more people to hear Shauna Chyn,” she said.
Control Button is produced by Blaqk Sheep Records and was released earlier this year. The clean version made its debut this week.
“I hope the edit can make the song become a hit and that this version is good enough for all outlets,” she said.
Shauna Chyn (given name Laniece Anderson) came to prominence as the former lover and manager of artiste Gully Bop. She however, hopes to make inroads on the dancehall scene on her own fare.

She got her break three years ago when she stepped into the studio and recorded Everything Will Fall Into Place for Chase Mills Records.
She has since recorded Problem and Bodiii, featuring Con Dizi.
The singjay s currently penning her tell-all autobiography, which she hopes will be released next year.
“I have been through a lot and have been on my own from an early age and have had a lot of experience. The book will speak about about my journey, me becoming an entertainer. I got bashed and humiliated a lot, but I continue to put in the work until it is now starting to pay off,” she added.
