Grammy-winning artiste Shaggy and pop/rock legend Sting have graced the latest Hot Tours list, according to ‘Billboard’.

The first leg of the duo’s 44/876 tour, which ran from June 19 to August 5, grossed US$10.8 million.

They amassed that by playing to 132,155 fans across the European continent. They reportedly had 23 sold-out shows.

Their numbers were enough to place them among the highest grossing tours across the world as they came in at number four on a list that included Celine Dion, BeyoncE and Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Lionel Ritchie.

Sting and Shaggy toured extensively throughout Europe, playing a wide variety of theatres, outdoor parks, and historical sites.

Their largest and smallest shows to date, according to the article, were held in Italy.

But it was Germany where they raked in the most dollars, pulling in a whopping US$1.1 million at Mangfall Park on July 14.

The duo also toured Slovakia, Greece, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands.

While Hot Tours only tracks grosses tied to individual artistes, Sting and Shaggy also played eight festivals this summer, outside of the $10.8 million earned from their own headline shows.

Celine Dion topped the Hot Tours list, raking in more than a staggering US$57 million, according to the Billboard stats.

BeyoncE and Jay-Z came in at number two, earning a reported US$29,458,064.

The 44/876 tour was in support of their album of the same name, released via Cherrytree/A&M/Interscope Records on April 20.

The set has spent 12 non-consecutive weeks atop the Reggae Albums chart and is one of the albums many are expecting to make the Grammy nomination list when that is announced later this year.

The summer European tour was promoted by Live Nation.

North America is next on the list for the duo as those shows are expected to begin on September 15 at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami.
