The second Peter Tosh Gala Awards, originally scheduled for Pulse Center at Trafalgar Road on Thursday, has been moved to Eden Gardens (Lady Musgrave Road), according to a statement from organizers.
There was no reason given for the change in venue.
This event launches four days of events marking the singer/songwriter’s 74th birthday and legacy. The highlight of the evening will be handing out of the Equal Rights, Stepping Razor, Legalise It and Bush Doctor awards.
Tosh, a founding member of The Wailers, was killed in September 1987 at age 42.
