Hawaiian reggae acts have enjoyed considerable success on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart over the years. Three of them debut this week. They are Ekolu, Sammy Johnson and Fia.

Ekolu Music 3: Hawaii by three-member group Ekolu, enters at number one. It is the 24-year-old group’s first entry on the reggae table, having charted three times on the World Albums chart.

Moonlight Lovers (EP) by Australian-born, Hawaii-based singer Sammy Johnson, debuts at number two. Released December 14 by Mensch House Records/Big Poppa Records, it contains five songs.

This is Johnson’s third charter. In 2014, he peaked at number three with The Sammy Johnson EP, while 2013’s Prelude stalled at number 12.
