Singer Sophia Brown and singjay Ginjah collaborate on Changes , a song calling for peace in a world embroiled in turmoil. Brown produced it for her Music Mecka label.
According to a press release, “Ginjah and Sophia Brown start 2019 in a reflective mood, looking at the world around us and looking at some of the issues that are present and need changing.”
Changes was released in early January. The acoustic single addresses world conflict and calls on leaders to offer solutions and end hostilities, and is getting massive airplay on the Foundation Radio Network.
It is the latest partnership between the two artistes for Music Mecka. In 2011, the label released the well-received Lovers Rock rhythm which produced Brown’s song of the same name, as well as Ginjah’s No Man A No Stone.
Brown has been recording since 2007, and has released a number of songs including So You Lie and Only Jamaica. She also has two albums to her credit: The Spotlight and Catch me Dubbing.
