BURNING SPEAR RETURNS TO THE STAGE!

Until he took a break from touring just over 10 years ago, Burning Spear was one of the best road warriors in reggae.

It was recently announced that the legendary singer/songwriter will return to the stage in August at Rototom Sunsplash in Benicassim Spain. And on the Welcome to Jamrock cruise in December.

Several more dates have been added since. Spear, 77, has a handful of dates scheduled for the United States West Coast, one of his traditional stomping grounds.

The first of those gigs is at The Masonic in San Francisco on July 22. He has other shows in San Diego and Los Angeles on July 23 and 24, respectively, then moves on to Silver Spring, Maryland, Denver Colorado, Boston and Philadelphia.

In August, Spear heads to Europe. On the 13th and 14th of that month, he shares the bill with Horace Andy and Johnny Clarke at The Forum in Birmingham and O2 Academy in Brixton, respectively.

He headlines the Reggae Lake Festival in Amsterdam on August 20. Two days later, Spear performs at Rototom Sunsplash.

Burning Spear's formidable catalog, which includes the epic Marcus Garvey album, has earned him legions of fans in Europe and the United States.

He has won two Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album --- Calling Rastafari in 2000 and Jah is Real in 2009.
