SOUTH FLORIDA-BASED MOSES I, TO RELEASE LATEST SINGLE “DEJA VU” IN EARLY JULY!

Dancehall fans who have followed Moses I’s career know his strong preference for songs with conscious themes. He shows a different side to his artistry with Deja Vu.

The lovers rock ballad, produced by Ansel Owen for Crown Production, is scheduled for release in early July.

Based in South Florida, Moses I says a good artist should always look at trends and give the audience what they want.

“Right now di people dem a cry for some lovers rock an’ yuh done know wi have to show di Empress dem some love,” he stated.

Moses I said he created Deja Vu “from scratch” by dabbling on his computer. Once he came up with the melody, everything fell into place.

Deja Vu is a far cry from Reparation, his previous song which came out in 2021. That track called for payment of monies for descendants of Africans captured and enslaved by Europeans in North America during the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

From August Town in St. Andrew, Jamaica, Moses I’s career began in the late 1980s when he recorded songs for producers Augustus Pablo and Philip “Fatis” Burrell.

Moses I, best known for Crazy Look, a 1998 collaboration with Capleton, is scheduled to perform July 30 on ‘The Awakening’, at Coral Springs Performing Arts Center with Mikey Spice and Lady G.
