As a precursor for his upcoming album, singer Little Hero premiered his song and music video, World Right Now, on May 25 which is celebrated as Africa Day.
World Right Now is one of five songs featured in Africa Day!, a half-hour documentary by Boston-based Jamaican film-maker Dr. Empress Rose Green. It was produced by her Intl Starz Film Productions.
With nutrition and a healthy lifestyle being the theme for this year’s Africa Day, Dr. Green looked at the eating habits, economic and social make-up of Ghana, Rwanda and Kenya.

World Right Now, produced by Atlanta-based Pandemic Records, was selected as part of the project’s soundtrack.
According to Dr. Green, the song’s message was appropriate for the film and Africa Day which was first celebrated in 1963. “Due to the nature of the challenges outlined in the overall nutrition-themed production, it was of great importance that there was a ‘statement music’ to bring home the message. Little Hero’s World Right Now enhances the film’s message of the worldwide struggles,” she said.

Little Hero, who is from St. Ann parish in Jamaica, has been recording for over 30 years. He is best known for God Alone, the 1994 song that featured Merciless and Action Fire.

Since Africa Day!’s short film release, Little Hero and Pandemic Records have earned three winning credits and one  selection film credit from Druk International Film Festival and Black Panther International Short Film Festivals.
For brothers Leroy and Sheldon Edwards, principals of Pandemic Records, the recognition is “a proud moment.”
World Right Now will be on Little Hero’s  album, The Journey Continues, scheduled for release on July 15 by Tad’s International Record.
Pandemic Records’ Logic Riddim album,  distributed by The 254 Club, was released on June 17.
