TELL DEM MUSIC HAS RELEASED MIKEY SPICE’S LATEST SINGLE “WANNA BE WITH YOU!”

Mikey Spice has a new song out called Wanna Be With You. Produced by Michael “Mikey Shines” Stewart for his Tell Dem Music label, it is a lover’s rock track delivered with typical poise by the veteran singer.

‘Wanna Be With You’ is one of several tracks Stewart recorded with Mikey Spice several years ago in South Florida. Energy and Sunshine are other songs from those sessions that have been released.

Mikey Spice and Stewart agreed to collaborate on songs after meeting in Miami. The subsequent recording sessions were fruitful; Stewart says he and the artist share similar approaches to writing and recording music.

“I check for him as a great singer, in terms of delivery and so forth. As a writer, he does good things for what I’m writing, like lovers rock,” said Stewart.

A stalwart of the South Florida reggae scene, Stewart started producing songs while living in New York City over 30 years ago. He has worked with acts such as Marcia Griffiths, Jimmy Riley and Frankie Paul.

Mikey Spice, who developed his skills as a musician and singer on Jamaica’s tourist scene, is best known for songs like Practice What You Preach, Born Again and I Am I Said.
