JUKE BOXX PRODUCTIONS RESPONDS TO BUSY SIGNAL’S PRESS RELEASE!

In response to the accusatory press release from ‘Turf Music’ dated Monday July 6, 2015, claiming lack of knowledge of Trinidad engagement; Juke Boxx Productions would like to respond with the following. Hot Pepper Entertainment (Promotor) entered into a contractual agreement with Juke Boxx Bookings on April 9, 2013, to book several artists, one of which was Busy Signal (Reanno Gordon), for a proposed show in Trinidad. Hot Pepper Entertainment subsequently sent incomplete deposits in incremental wire transfers totaling approximately USD $30,000.00 to secure the artists’ performance at this engagement. BUSY SIGNAL SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON BEING ARRESTED IN TRINIDAD!

 Busy Signal sets record straight.—- Dancehall artist Busy Signal said he was unaware of a debt that resulted in him being arrested in Trinidad and Tobago, on Saturday night. The singjay (given name is Reanno Gordon) was arrested at his hotel shortly before he was slated to perform at Together As One concert after after failing to repay over US$37,088 due to a promoter from 2013. The entertainer was hauled before the Port-of-Spain High Court following an emergency hearing with Justice Rahim, who issued the warrant for Busy Signal’s arrest. BUSY SIGNAL ARRESTED IN TRINIDAD!

Fast rhyming dancehall lyricist Busy Signal currently in Trinidad for a concert was arrested at the Hyatt Hotel and taken into custody to the Port of Spain high court before Justice Rahim. According to court documents the Jamaican singjay was arrested under the Absconding Debtors Act. After he was paid the sum of U$37,000 as performance fee for a concert in May 2013. However the concert wascancelled by the promoters, Peppers Entertainment, but Busy Signal had agreed to perform at a later date.   Busy Signal The documents further indicated that Busy never performed at the rescheduled concert nor was the U$37,000 sum repaid to the organisers.  When the case was mentioned, Justice Rahim ordered the entertainer to pay U$15,000 immediately with the balance to be paid within thirty (30) days. “BUSY SIGNAL WAS NOT DEPORTED FROM PANAMA” SAYS HIS MANAGER!

By Richard Johnson—  Busy Signal in performance.—- THE management of dancehall deejay Busy Signal has denied the artist was deported from Panama last weekend. According to the artist’s manager Gely Gordon, Busy Signal, 33, was en route to the Jump Festival in Bogota, Colombia, Friday, but was not allowed to transit through Panama by authorities in that country due to his past infractions with the law in the United States. “He had a one-hour, 20-minute layover in Panama before connecting on the flight to Colombia. THE ST. ANN’S BAY HOSPITAL TO BENEFIT FROM BUSY SIGNAL’S CHARITY FOUNDATION!

According to the dancehall artist, the venture is for a much-needed cause. “My priority is the St Ann’s Bay Hospital. It is in need of vital X-ray/CAT scan equipment for detecting cancer. It costs roughly $12 million,” Busy Signal told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
