 AJ Brown (David I Muir)—- Three years ago, AJ Brown joined veteran reggae band Third World following the death of their long-time lead singer Bunny Rugs. Prior to that he had a solid career. Brown is currently working on a solo album, as well as recording songs for producers Cleveland Browne and Paul Wright. The album, his eighth, is scheduled for release this summer. Brown, 60, is working on other projects. “I just did a reggae version of When You Love that’s coming out shortly, and I am also producing for other artists. A NEW SINGLE “LET’S PRAY” FROM BUNNY RUGS IS RELEASED!

By Howard Campbell—    Late Third World member Bunny Rugs— Bunny Rugs will be remembered as one of reggae’s distinct voices. His smooth baritone made Third World songs like Always Around, Now That We Found Love and Try Jah Love classics. Ten years ago while working on his solo album, Time, Rugs recorded Let’s Pray, a song produced by Young Veterans Music. It was released last week, just days before he will be posthumously awarded the Order of Distinction (OD) by the Jamaican Government. Rugs died from cancer in February 2014 at age 65. Sheldon Pennicott of Young Veterans Music said Let’s Pray, which features Luciano, is a tribute to Rugs who joined Third World in 1976. THE ANNUAL “JAHARVEST FEST” BENEFIT FESTIVAL, RETURNS TO STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA, SEPTEMBER 24!

According to the former Third World band member, the youth must be allowed to add their own flavor to the music industry without being judged by purists and blocked by self-proclaimed gatekeepers. He also stated that local radio should put more focus on local music. “Our radio stations here will play more hip hop than dancehall and reggae, and that’s their preference. BOUVIER CLARK, WIDOW OF BUNNY RUGS, THREATENS TO SUE THIRD WORLD!

 The widow of the late reggae singer, Bunny Rugs has issued a statement warning the members of the Third World Band of her intentions to take legal action against them for failure to pay over moneys owed to the late singer. According to Bouvier Clark, the widow of the former lead vocalist of the internationally acclaimed band, she has been ignored and disrespected by the remaining members of Third World. In a release sent to our news team, Clark revealed that as of July 2014, she was appointed as the personal representative of the estate of William Clark a.k.a. “Bunny Rugs” by order of the District Court of Osceola County in the State of Florida.
