BEENIE MAN’S “UNSTOPPABLE” DEBUTS AT NO.5 ON BILLBOARD CHART!

By Kevin Jackson—-  Beenie Man—- Beenie Man’s Unstoppable, his first studio album in 10 years, debuts at number five on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart. The set, released on September 16 by VP Records distribution arm VPAL, sold 244 copies in its first week. Unstoppable contains 22 songs. It features collaborations with Sizzla, Bounty Killer, Agent Sasco, J Gunn, Christopher Martin, Akon and Tarrus Riley. Producers include Major Lazer, Tony Kelly, Mario C, Jordan McClure, Seanizzle, Jeremy Harding and Don Corleone. Some of its tracks are Come To Me, Blue Lights, We Run Road (remix), Mash It Upand Bun It Up. Unstoppable is Beenie Man’s 11th title to chart on Billboard. FOREIGN-BASED REGGAE ACTS, POST DOUBLE-DIGIT SALES ON BILLBOARD CHART!

 Top: Iration Bottom: Stick Figure On the current Billboard Reggae album chart, the only double-digit sales figures are posted by foreign acts. The number two spot is held by California reggae band Rebelution. The group’s most recent album Falling Into Place, which topped the chart 14 weeks ago, has sold 25,395 copies. San Diego reggae band Stick Figure currently holds the number four spot with Set in Stone, which debuted at number one in November last year. Its sales figure now stands at 20,141.  After 15 weeks of chart life, Ziggy Marley’s self-titled album — which spent two weeks at number one — has fallen to number five. The album features several hip hop artists, including legendary American rapper Rakim. VYBZ KARTEL’S “KING OF THE DANCEHALL” ENTERS BILLBOARD CHART!

The Adidjahiem Records/TJ Records product is distributed by Zojak Worldwide. With first-week sales of 1,867 copies (according to sales tracker Nielsen Music), King Of The Dancehall has the biggest first-week sales for a dancehall artiste since Beenie Man’s Undisputed in 2006.
