ZIGGY MARLEY RELEASES HIS LATEST SINGLE “CECEIL!”

The song comes from the reggae musician’s upcoming sixth studio album By Mike Ayers— On Ziggy Marley’s new song “Ceceil,” the reggae musician is leaving it up to listeners to decide what it’s about. “It’s about many things,” Marley says. “I don’t want to tell the people what it’s about. I want people to get what they get from it.” The track premieres on Speakeasy below. The song comes from Marley’s upcoming self-titled sixth studio album, the follow-up to his 2014 Grammy-award winning LP “Fly Rasta.” For “Ceceil,” Marley points to African music as a particular influence, saying the rhythmic timing was a bit tricky. “Some of the musicians couldn’t get it at first,” he says. Ziggy Marley, 47, and his wife Orly Agai already have daughter, Judah, 10, and sons Gideon, nine, and Abraham, five, together. RITA Marley— RITA Marley, the widow of reggae legend Bob Marley, is currently recovering after some health challenges last year. Rita’s son Ziggy confirmed that his mother was “doing good” following what he described as “some physical ailments”. The reggae king’s widow was noticeably absent from the celebrations to mark Marley’s 70th birthday last weekend. “She’s at the stage now where she’s slowing down and taking things easy, but she’s doing good,” Marley told the Jamaica Observer.
