Ann Marie Logan, a Grand Cayman businesswoman, is claiming that Beenie Man’s no-show for an event in Cayman last Friday has resulted in massive financial losses. “We spent CI$25,000 (approximately J$3.8 million) to keep the show in Grand Cayman and it was not held. I need the money back,” Logan told THE STAR yesterday. “I hold no grudge and don’t have any vendetta. I just want to recover my money,” she said. By Bjorn Burke— Beenie Man– Iconic Jamaican entertainer Beenie Man is building a church in the inner-city community of Waterhouse in St Andrew, with the intention of not only giving residents there another place of worship, but also for them to have greater access to social amenities such as computers and a library. “It nuh have nothing to do with moving on to a religion. My religion is Rastafarian, and that is it,” Beenie Man said. As a child, the entertainer attended church at the same spot where the new church is being constructed.
