CAPLETON SUSTAINS INJURIES DURING FALL ON STAGE IN FRANCE!

Capleton Veteran reggae artist Capleton is currently recovering from injuries he sustained in a fall last weekend. Fans of the entertainer have been expressing concern on social media after hearing that the artist had been hospitalized after falling. It is being reported that the ‘Fyah Man’, who was performing at a show in France, fell through a hole on the stage and suffered two broken ribs. Efforts to contact his manager to get detailed information on the entertainer’s condition were unsuccessful, but THE WEEKEND STAR learnt from a source close to the artiste that he was treated at a local hospital and has since been released. ALL SYSTEMS ARE SET FOR “A ST. MARY MI COME FROM!”

   Romain Virgo A St Mary Mi Come From makes a comeback after a three-year absence this evening at Grays Inn Sports Complex in Annotto Bay. Launched in 2000 by St Mary native Capleton, the show was last held in 2013, but it was affected by Tropical Storm Sandy. Claudette Kemp, Capleton’s manager, told Splash that all is in place for a successful event. “We’re looking forward to a great time. This is more than entertainment; its about unity, joy and the children,” she said.    Several institutions (hospitals, schools, infirmaries) have benefited from A St Mary Mi Come From’s proceeds. Kemp said Capleton was pumped up about the show. “He’s very upbeat and excited. EDUCATION THE FOCUS FOR THIS YEAR’S “ST. MARY MI COME FROM” AUGUST 5!

 Education will be the focus of this year’s St Mary Mi Come From show which takes place August 5 at Gray’s Inn Sports Complex in Annotto Bay, St Mary. Claudette Kemp is manager of deejay Capleton who conceptualised the event in 2000. She told the Jamaica Observer that a back-to-school event will replace the treat which usually takes place one day before the show. “We want to have a major back-to-school drive on August 24, not just a treat, for the kids. That’s the main thrust for us this year,” she said. CAPLETON TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM BEFORE THE SUMMER!

 Capleton—- CAPLETON will release his first album since 2010’s Iternal Fire this year. The yet-titled set, largely produced by Clive Hunt, will be distributed by VP Records. The 48-year-old deejay told the Jamaica Observer that he continuously records new songs which keeps him current. With a number of hit songs going back to the late 1980’s, Capleton retains a consistent tour schedule. “Wi love fi give the album dem space, mek the people dem get fi know the song dem,” he said. “There is never a race fi put out an album.” Motive, a song produced by Hunt, is likely to make the new album.
